What to Do If You Feel Helpless Right Now... 😔

LA was my home for over 18 years—from the ages of 22 to 23 and then again from 24 to 41. This morning, I woke up before sunrise, overwhelmed by grief, anger, and immense fear—not only for my friends and framily (friends who are family) in Los Angeles, evacuating and losing their homes, but also for the land I love so deeply, which held me through nearly two decades of my life.

If you haven’t heard, Los Angeles is burning. With 0% containment, 100 mph winds, and fire hydrants out of water, the situation is dire. 🚒✈️ Planes can’t fight from the sky over Santa Monica, Malibu, and Pacific Palisades.

If you’ve followed me long enough, you know I don’t shy away from hard truths. As leaders, we can’t afford to stay silent, stick to “high-vibe” content, or perpetuate spiritual bypassing. Avoiding the real conversations is not helping the planet wake up to the devastation and foul play we’re witnessing.

Just like Maui’s tragic fires were far from a “natural disaster”, neither is what’s happening in LA. If we call ourselves lightworkers, it’s time to name it: We’re in the midst of a polycrisis and ecocide.

🔍 What Is a Polycrisis?

A polycrisis is the intersection of multiple, interconnected crises, such as:

🌍 Climate change intensifying migration, economic instability, and political conflict.

🦠 Pandemics like COVID-19 triggering health, economic, and social crises.

💧 Energy or water shortages tied to geopolitical conflicts, inflation, and climate disasters.

The truth is, we’re not being told everything about what’s happening—or why. Governmental and elite greed is destroying the planet, and something has to give.

It’s no coincidence that:

📡 LA was preparing to become a “smart city”.

💸 $23 million was cut from the fire department’s budget this year.

🏠 Thousands of homeowners were recently dropped by their insurance policies.

This is not fear-mongering or low-vibe talk. It’s a wake-up call. If we are truly lightworkers, we must remain aware of the shadow on this earth plane and pay attention while we still have a planet to save.

None of us are inmune to ecocide.

Ecocide is the large-scale destruction of ecosystems, either by human activity or other causes, so severe that the survival of the environment and its inhabitants is threatened. Brazil is underwater; LA is on fire.

We are living through unprecedented times, and we will likely see much more of this in our lifetime. Yes, we all dream of a 5D Heaven-on-Earth reality, but things will get worse before they get better.

✨ Ascension Is Not Passive

It’s not a time to sit on the sidelines, eating popcorn while others do the work. True awakening requires us to confront both the light and the dark, to harmonize these energies within ourselves, and to speak out for what’s right.

We must remain conscious, hold space for the suffering of others, and anchor light through our practices, service, and voices.

✨ May communities come together in love and support, with all needs met swiftly.

✨ May the suffering of all beings impacted cease now.

✨ We affirm a fleet of angels to assist the firefighters, restoring their energy and strength to save lives, animals, and homes.

✨ May those with the means donate abundantly to organizations with pure intentions.

✨ May we hold reverence for the great elements and find peace in our hearts during this trying time.

Help us cultivate courage and trust as we navigate this together, remembering that this too shall pass.

All this or greater, for the highest good of all.
