The holy-day the matrix stole from us

🔮 In 2 days, we honor your ancestors and Samhain the right way

Hey love, As many of us real ones make our way down the decolonization path, it feels ever more important to get very curious about the truth, origins, and roots of all the things we practice, center, and celebrate.

In 2017, when I first learned about Samhain (pronounced Sow-win), its origins felt real and rang true in my heart — much like when I first witnessed the deep reverence of Día de los Muertos decor during a visit to Oaxaca, Mexico. My heart exploded with love, pride, and delight.

Honoring ancestors and carrying on traditions is something that truly lights me up. Offering reverence is one of the easiest ways for me to feel deeply connected to God-Goddess and the oneness of all beings.

Before Halloween was a “thing” (created by the Church, by the way), its true origin was a Celtic festival marking the New Year — a time to slow down, give thanks to Mama Earth for her harvest, gather with family and friends for feasts and games, and honor our deceased loved ones.

What a beautiful ceremony — one the matrix has stolen from us, leaving so many lost in the sauce of candy, scary costumes, and horror films that teach us to fear the dead while getting wasted on this sacred day.

This Friday (in just 2 days!), I’m hosting my 5th annual FREE Samhain online gathering. It feels like the perfect time to come together in community — to amplify prayers for the planet, share Samhain rituals, and deepen our connection with our happy ancestors.

My primary calling is to continue to create spaces where we can come back to our hearts, honor our ancestry, and strengthen our relationship with all that is Sacred.

What a gift it is to seek ways to re-center our precious Mother Earth and educate ourselves on her-story’s origins AND learn to walk in a good way, rooted in reverence.

If you feel called to dive deeper into the roots of ancient rituals and traditions — or simply to be with others as we navigate these wild times and co-create a new path forward….

it would be my greatest honor to sit in circle with you virtually this Friday.
