Are you really a witch?

Hi Sister,

Are you a real witch? No, seriously, let's get into it, because in my mind, a witch is a wise, intuitive teacher, channel, healer, and one of the women and men who were burned, buried, starved to death, abandoned, and scorned throughout her-story for using their gifts, speaking their truth, and walking in a good way with the sacred.

And now we have Practical Magic 2 coming out today, giving all the closet witches permission to come out in full form. 😂 The crystals, the tarot cards, the dancing around, midnight margs (iykyk). And honestly, I love it. I love that it's becoming fun and safe to talk about being a witch again, because for a very long time it wasn't.

But here's what I want to say: if we truly want to embrace our witch, I believe it goes much deeper than the fun, whimsical parts. It's about owning our voices, using our gifts, and healing the wounds that taught our mothers, grandmothers, and the women before them that it wasn't safe to be who they were.

Because if you haven't done the work to heal your witch wound, you may still be holding back in your life without even realizing it. Maybe you're not giving your gifts. Maybe you're dimming or minimizing your light, people-pleasing, staying in a job or relationship you know isn't right for you, or playing small because some part of you still doesn't feel safe being fully seen. The patriarchy did a damn good job convincing women that being intuitive, powerful, connected to nature, or simply knowing something in their bones made them bad or wrong.

And this is why I want to invite you to Ireland for Samhain, the home of Halloween, November 1st–9th. We're taking a small group of women up the West Coast of Ireland, into one of the most witchy, whimsical places on Earth, where the veil is thin and the magic is potent.

We'll work with the land, our mother and father lines, along with the elements and the fae, visiting the sacred sites, portals, a 500 year old Yue tree, fairy forts, stone configurations, and the best part is we'll gather at the Hill of Uisneach for Samhain fire fest where I’ll be walking in the procession for the witches' and Celtic New Year.

This is for the woman who doesn't just want to play witch for a day because a movie made it cool. She wants to actually own her gifts, use her voice, heal her motherline and fatherline, remember who she is, so she can lead and do her part to create matriarchy now.
